December 7th

(To read this story from the beginning, click here.)

It goes like this: every December the first, Klink appears, and on the eve of Christmas, she vanishes once more. It’s always been this way. She’s my Christmas presence, my advent spirit. Without her there’d be no Christmas. Without me she’d cease to be. I don’t remember a December without her. I don’t think I’d want to.
